Refund Policy
Last updated 2026-09-25
The short version
- If you pay and your post or response can't be published, you're refunded automatically. You don't need to do anything.
- Once your content is published, the fee isn't refundable because you've changed your mind or someone disagreed with you.
- Charged twice, charged for nothing, or had content removed by mistake? Email hello@rebattle.net within 30 days and we'll put it right.
1. Automatic refunds
We refund you in full, without you asking, when:
- The price moved while you were paying. On an "Up the ante" post, someone else may pay the same price a moment before you. Their response is published and yours is refunded.
- The post closed while you were paying. The post stopped taking responses before your payment went through.
- Something failed on our side. You paid, but we couldn't publish your content.
- Redemption. On a Redemption post, backing the winning answer gets your own fee back when the post closes. That's all you get back; there's no payout on top.
The refund goes back to the card or payment method you used (see section 4).
2. Refunds you can request
Email hello@rebattle.net within 30 days of paying if:
- you were charged more than once for the same thing;
- you were charged but your post or response never appeared and you weren't refunded automatically;
- we removed your content by mistake (content removed for breaking our Terms isn't refunded);
- the service was faulty in some other way.
Include the date, the amount, and either the last 4 digits of your card or the Stripe receipt number. Please include a link to the post too, if there is one. We reply within 5 working days.
3. What isn't refunded
Before paying, you ask us to publish your content straight away and confirm that you'll lose your 14-day right to cancel once it's published (see section 4 of the Terms). So once your content has been published correctly, we don't refund it because:
- you've changed your mind or want to take it back;
- your answer isn't on top, or someone paid to have the final say after you;
- the post got fewer responses than you hoped.
4. How refunds are paid
Refunds always go back to the original payment method, through Stripe. They usually show up in 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank. We can't refund to a different card or account, or in cash.
5. Chargebacks
If something looks wrong, please email us before you dispute the charge with your bank. That's almost always faster. If you open a chargeback on content that was published correctly, we may send your bank the payment record and your recorded consent.
6. Still not happy?
You can take a dispute to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (arn.se). Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by this policy.
